Boko Haram supplier arrested in Borno

Domestic terrorism in Nigeria and the United States

Goni Mallum Muttia, 45, was arrested with food items and sundry supplies at Gamboru Market in Maiduguri, the state capital, police spokesman Okon Edet said, adding that the articles found on the suspect were meant to be shipped to designated Boko Haram enclaves outside the state capital.

Edet said the suspects included robbers, rustlers, fraudsters, kidnappers and extortioners, among others.

Some of the rustled cows were found wandering in the Diffa area of Niger Republic, Edet said in a text message.

Some stolen in Cameroon were brought into Nigeria where a good number of them were sold before the rustlers were apprehended, he said.
