Bowen University, Iwo, Osun State, has sacked about 10 per cent its workforce.
The affected workers had been mentioned to have obtained mail intimating them of the termination of their appointment on Tuesday after their salaries for the month of June had been paid.
One of the affected workers members mentioned 127 workers throughout all departments and sections of the establishment had been affected.
The Head of Media and Public Relations Unit of the university, Toba Adaramola, confirmed the sacking on Wednesday.
Adaramola mentioned, “When the current administration of the establishment got here on board in 2018, it was found that the school was on the level of inflexion.
“When the administration studied the scenario, it was found that we should change our tradition of doing issues, or change product.
“Our college students are our product; that we can’t change. But we determined to alter the mannequin the school had operated.
