Edo Governor Godwin Obaseki has said he has not joined after party following his resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday.
Obaseki, in a tweet, stated: “I’ve not moved to a brand new platform yet to search re-election.”
The APC screening panel disqualified the Governor from collaborating within the main election slated for June 22.
Obaseki stated he was centered on the struggle towards COVID-19 pandemic in Edo and not the selection of one other platform.
According to him: “My focus now could be to management the unfold of the coronavirus (#COVID19) pandemic, which is ravaging our nation and threatening our healthcare system. Stay secure.”
