The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has said that the union had not refused an invite from the federal government for negotiation throughout its ongoing strike and that the allegations of N800 billion by the Minister of Labour and Employment have been baseless.

According to the President of ASUU, the union has by no means declined an invite to a negotiation assembly with the federal government.
